Pre Cruise Planning

There are a number of preparations which you will need to make before you embark on a cruise.  The first one is to ensure that you pack the essentials for your journey.  As many people will choose to cruise around sunny destinations such as the Caribbean or the Mediterranean, sun block and hats are a must.  Cameras are all important to ensure that you can capture every detail of your dream holiday as are a range of casual and dressy clothes so you can take advantage of the different activities and evening entertainments which are available on board the ship.

Use the pre-cruise planning facilities to book ahead for different entertainments, which can range from theatre shows, comedy acts and musicians and are suitable for all ages.  This helps you to plan your activities for all the family and ensures you a seat in the theatre.  Some ships do not have a pre-booking facility for entertainment so seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and travellers should check this in advance.

Some of the dining options require advance bookings so it may be wise to reserve a table in advance if you want to be sure of the chance of a formal dining experience.  It is also possible to arrange a specific drinks package before you board the ship.

Spa facilities are always very popular and making appointments for treatments is a good idea, while excursions into the countries being visited are often arranged and can be booked in advance to ensure a place.
