As anyone who has enjoyed skiing will tell you, getting the right boots is the one area where you need to take time choosing, these are clamped to your feet for best part of the day and getting an ill fitting pair can put you off skiing forever!  Like most first time skiers, you will probably be hiring your ski equipment which makes sense and not just for first time skiers, regular skiers often hire skis as they can get the very latest models. Also add the initial cost of these plus, the propensity of airlines to pile extra on charges to the price of your holiday for taking them, this is now the way many are enjoying their ski holiday. Your ski holiday specialist will get you the best hire deal as part of your ski holiday package.

So when you hire a pair of boots, put them on and walk around in them, do not be put off by the hire shop, take your time half an hour or so in necessary and if at the end of the day your feet are hurting change them! After the first year skiing and you have got the bug, buy yourself a pair, you will never regret it as the inner will take the shape of your foot. The same procedure applies when buying as when renting, take your time an hour or so if needed, a good pair will be with you for years.
